Explaining is one of the most important things people do. We offer a practical way to separate good explanations from ordinary information. Four ways we can work together:
- Customized, hands-on seminars. We offer Tiny Soapbox 101, covering the basic methodology: How to create at-a-glance views of explanations. Our advanced seminar is
T.S. for Technology Design. In both cases, we provide consultations before and after.
Get the seminar details. - Rehearsal space. Putting together effective explanations is essential, and people need
a good place to do that. We’ll help you open a virtual rehearsal space for piecing
together information and preparing explanations for presentation. -
Software strategy. We’ll consult with you on how to do more with technology. Use Tiny Soapbox to refine your software strategy, whether you’re a developer/vendor,
an integrator, or a customer. -
Management strategy. Get better explanations. We’ll show you how Tiny Soapbox can
support your management strategy, guide strategic initiatives, and improve the results
of CRM and marketing programs.
Why are we doing this? Our principal consultant, Tracy Allison Altman, has done extensive research on how groups of people explain their ideas, findings, and evidence: Beginning with her Ph.D., and ending with an analysis of how adequately technology supports evidence-based management. What do the results tell us? That people often provide extensive, potentially persuasive explanations but without a common backdrop or framework, the usefulness, transparency, and strategic value of their contributions often suffer. So we developed Tiny Soapbox: A systematic way for people to explain stuff.
Who’s it for? Anyone interested in the art & science of creating extraordinary explanations. Ideal for subject matter experts, management executives, researchers, analysts, educators, public officials, marketing strategists, Web 2.0/social CRM gurus, and software architects.
